Nahuala daily huipil.
W80 x L140 cm opened. This circa 1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well balanced white cotton
panels. The panels are joined by a hand embroidered decorative seam. These panels are densely decorated with
supplementary brocade in cotton in the "petate" style and featuring the plumed serpent motif and other geometric designs.
The brocade decoration of this huipil is especially fine. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Jose Maria
Pocop Barreno (El Guipil Collection) of Panajachel. (8-111) $ 160. SOLD.
