Nahuala cargador. (carrying cloth)
This post-1980 cargador was hand woven on a back-strap loom in two warp-striped cotton panels.
It features extensive use of ixcaco - hand-spun naturally brown cotton. The other warp stripes are dyed with indigo. Nahualá cargadors
with ixcaco and indigo are uncommon. This fine example is in excellent condition.
It was acquired from the Museo de Tejido Antigua in San Antonio Aguas Calientes. W 129 x L 136 cm. (23-61) $ 250 or best offer.
