Nahualá daily huipil.

This post-2000 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-balanced, warp striped blue cotton panels joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. The base thread is dyed with indigo. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade in cotton and rayon (to mimic silk). The principal motif is of costumed dancers. This very fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) in Antigua. W 83 x L 72 cm. (20-20) $ 120 or best offer.
