Hand woven on a back strap loom in cotton. The base is indigo dyed with narrow magenta warp stripes. Both ends are decorated with supplementary brocade featuring highly abstracted plumed serpent motifs. Circa 1975. Acquired from the collection of an ex-US diplomat in Guatemala. Very good condition.
