Nahuala ceremonial huipil.

From the Dr. Richard Mandell collection.

This pre-1980 ceremonial huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three white cotton panels decorated by supplementary brocade in the “Kashlan po’t” style – three panels with the double-headed eagle motif featured in the wider and more heavily decorated center panel. Some of the brocade is silk. Hand made lace collar. This rare example is in excellent condition. W 107 x L 66 cm. (16-223) $ 350. OBO
