Nahuala daily huipil.

This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well balanced indigo dyed, warp striped blue cotton base panels. The panels are joined by hand-embroidered decorative seams. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade in rayon (faux silk) featuring double-headed eagle and plumed serpent motifs. This example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Emilio Sol on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W 72 x L 70 cm. (15-64) $ 85. OBO
