Nahualá corte (wrap skirt). This post-1980 corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in two matching indigo dyed weft striped cotton panels joined
by “randas”, hand embroidered decorative seams. These panels feature ikat dye patterns, a technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying
process similar to tie-dye. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Manuela Marroquin of Nahuala at the La Fuente market
in Antigua Guatemala. The top photograph shows only half of the available material. Typically, we sell cortes for yardage. W104 x L234 cm. (14-68) $ 90. OBO
