Nahuala daily huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back-strap loom in two white cotton panels joined in part by hand embroidered decorative seams. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade in cotton and rayon (to mimic silk) featuring eagle motifs. It has a subtle “mancha” - intentional stain - in purple. This fine example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Sophia Monroy Tepeu at the La Fuente market in Antigua. W 72 x L 63 cm. (14-160) $90. OBO
