Nahualá faja (sash).

This post-1980 faja was hand woven on a back strap loom in cotton with some brocade in rayon. The base is indigo dyed with narrow magenta warp stripes. It is decorated with colorful supplementary brocade featuring the plumed serpent and universal diamond motifs, with different designs on each end. This faja is in very good condition. It was acquired from “little Maria” from Nahualá at her usual location on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W 16 x L 268 cm. (10-329) $ 70. OBO
