Mixco servietta. (table runner)

This is a very rare item. Hand woven on a back-strap loom in one white cotton panel with weft stripes, some alizarin red, raised weft patterns and hand knotted fringes on both ends with pom-poms. Very likely ceremonial use. No longer produced. Acquired from Sra. Ana Carolina Ajanel at her “tienda” in Chichicastenango. It is in very good condition. W 72 x L 175 cm plus fringes.
