Joyabaj huipil.

This post-2000 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two predominantly red warp striped cotton blend base panels. The neck and arm holes are surrounded by hand embroidery in multicolored circles of cotton decoration typical of Joyabaj huipils. This huipil is exceptionally wide for Joyabaj. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeú of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G). W 93 x L 53 cm. (21-24) $ 120 or best offer.
