Concepcion Chiquirichapa daily huipil.

This circa 2000 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-balanced black cotton panels decorated with supplementary brocade featuring the exuberant animal and bird designs typical of Chiquirichapa huipils. Huipils from Chiquirichapa are not common. This beautiful example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra.Tomasa Calbo Mateo at the “bomberos” textile market in Panajachel.
