San Juan Comalapa daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two very well-balanced brown cotton blend base panels. The surface decoration is supplementary weft brocade in a classic design, but where the traditional red stripe across the shoulders has been rendered in greed floral motifs. This lovely huipil is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeú of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G). W 76 x L 61 cm. (21-28) $ 120 or best offer.
