San Juan Comalapa daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two very well-balanced black cotton blend base panels. The surface decoration is supplementary weft brocade in a design that combines geometric and floral patterns. The collar is fluted and wide. This huipil is in very good condition. This beautiful example was acquired from Sra. Maria Isabel Gonzales at the “bomberos” textile market in Panajachel. W 80 x L 62 cm. (16-80) $ 150. OBO
