San Juan Comalapa daily huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two brown cotton blend base panels. The surface decoration is well balanced supplementary weft brocade in a classic Comalapa design. It is in very good condition. This fine example was acquired from Doña Juana Mateo Rosales at her tienda in Tinamit Maya on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W 79 x L 60 cm. (15-51) Was $95. Now $80 OBO.
