This pre- 1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two very well matched cotton base panels. These panels are decorated with supplementary weft brocade. This classic sobre huipil was worn over the regular huipil at cofradia ceremonies, weddings and other ceremonial functions. It is in very good condition.
