Colotenango daily huipil. W104 x L102 cm opened. This post 1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in 2 cotton panels. This huipil is most unusual in that it was woven in 2 panels to look like the more typical 3 panel design. It is especially large for a Colotenango huipil. The arm and neck holes are finished with a hand embroidered chain stitch. The supplementary brocade features complex diamond patterns typical of Colotenango huipils.
