Colotenango faja (sash).
This circa 1980 faja was hand woven predominantly in red but with
multicolored warp stripes. It is decorated on both ends with supplementary brocade featuring
geometric designs in soumak weaving typical of Colotenango, plus knotted fringes and tassels.
This fine example is in excellent condition. From the collection of
