Colotenango morral (shoulder bag).

These bags are the same design as the Colotenango skirts. I don’t know if these are made originally as bags or it they are made from disassembling a skirt, which one might choose to do if it had a hole in it. The skirts are back-strapped loomed and I presume these are as well. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade. Hand knotted fringes. It is in very good condition, but not new. It was acquired from Sra. Gladys Mendez at her stall in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua Guatemala. W 32 x L 27 cm plus fringes and strap. (18-119) $50. OBO
