Coban huipil.

This huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three brown cotton base panels. These panels are densely covered with rows of supplementary brocade. Typical Coban motifs include deer, universal diamonds, and people. Collar has a scalloped edge. This example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Glady Mendez at her stall in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 84 x L 50 cm. (18-104) $ 120. OBO
