Coban daily huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three gauze cotton panels. These panels are decorated with a plant motif in supplementary brocade. Coban style huipils are popular among Guatemalan women throughout the Maya area, particularly for wear in warm weather. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from the collection of Anya Hazelwood who purchased it during the 1980’s. W 94 x L 43 cm. (16-05) $ 90. OBO
