Coban daily huipil. This post-2000 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three loose white cotton base panels that have gauze sections. These panels have motifs that suggest birds on corn plants. Because of their lightness, Coban huipils are now worn widely by Maya women. This example was acquired from Ema and Carmen Tepeú at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua. W96 x L50 cm. (15-38) $ 80. OBO
