Coban daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three purple cotton base panels. These panels are densely covered with supplementary brocade featuring deer and universal diamond motifs. Coban style huipils are popular among Guatemalan Maya women throughout the Maya area. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Estefana Culajah of Patzun at the La Fuente market in Antigua. W99 x L94 cm opened (14-155) $ 80. OBO
