This contemporary blusa features hand embroidered floral motifs around the head and arm openings utilizing a wrapped needle technique. The embroidery is backed with a cotton lining. The head and arm openings are trimmed with a hand embroidered buttonhole stitch. The base material is a light, porous white commercial cotton blend lace fabric. These blusas have become popular with Maya women throughout highland Guatemala. This blusa is in excellent condition.
