Coban blusa. W 90 x L 105 cm opened. This contemporary blusa features hand embroidery of floral motifs around the head and arm openings utilizing a wrapped needle technique. The embroidery is backed with a cotton lining. The head and arm openings are also trimmed with a black hand embroidery buttonhole stitch and crochet. The base material is a light, porous pink commercial lace fabric believed to be a cotton blend. These blouses have become popular with Maya women throughout Guatemala.
