Coban daily huipil.

This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three blue cotton base panels with a wider center panel. These panels are densely covered with supplementary brocade in many contrasting colors and featuring deer and bird motifs. Coban style huipils are popular among Guatemalan Maya women throughout the Maya area. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Estefana Culajah of Patzun at the La Fuente market in Antigua. W96 x L101 cm opened. (10-16) $70. OBO
