Chuarrancho daily huipil. W98 x L126 cm opened. This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two white cotton base panels that are
joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. These panels are decorated with horizontal bands of supplementary brocade featuring plumed serpent, universal
diamond and other geometric motifs. The collar features a thick hand embroidered chain stitch typical of Chuarrancho huipils. This lovely example is in
very good condition. It was acquired from Ana Carolina Ajanel of Chichicastenango. (10-146) $ 150. Sold.
