Chinautla daily huipil.
This circa-2000 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in one white cotton base panel. Although likely woven in Totonicapan
and very similar to daily huipils from San Pedro Sacatepequez (SM), it is in the unique style of Chinautla and, therefore, rare. The
arm openings are trimmed in velvet. Design motifs include paired quetzals and universal diamonds. It is in excellent condition.
It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) in Antigua. W 84 x L 61 cm. (20-16) $ 85 or best offer.
