Chinautla daily huipil. W 85 x L 130 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven in one cotton panel,
very likely on a foot treadle loom. Although probably woven in Totonicapán, it is in the style of Chinautla and,
thus, quite rare. The head and arm holes are trimmed with purple velvet. Design motifs include bats, people and
universal diamonds. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Petronila Mendez Bocó at the Artesanos
market in Antigua. (11-14) $ 80. Sold.
