Chinautla daily huipil.
This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven in one cotton panel,
probably on a foot treadle loom. Although likely woven in Totonicapán and similar to daily huipils of San Pedro
Sacatepequez (SM), it is believed to be in the style of Chinautla and, thus, quite rare. The head and arm holes
are trimmed with black crochet. Design motifs include paired birds and universal diamonds. It has intact smocking.
It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Bonifacia Mendez Bocó at the Artesanos market in Antigua.
W 71 x L 136 cm opened. (11-13) $ 70. OBO
