Chichicastenango vintage woman's tzute. (W79 x L76 cm) This circa-1970 tzute was hand woven on a back strap loom in 2 identical striped panels joined by a hand embroidered decorative seam. The decorative seam is multicolor cotton. Each panel is decorated with 6 figures of animals or birds with double-headed eagles both upper and lower on the left panel. This fine tzute is in good condition. Collected from Bonifacia Méndez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus in Antigua Guatemala. (6-164) $75. SOLD.
