Chichicastenango corte (women's wrap skirt).
(W276 x L76 cm) This circa-1980 daily corte was manually woven on a foot treadle loom, probably by a male professional weaver with the guidance of the buyer. It is constructed of 2 panels attached vertically and horizontally by elaborate hand embroidered decorative seams. The base material is cotton, features various ikat dye patterns and employs indigo dye. This corte is in excellent condition.
