Chajul daily huipil. This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two blue cotton/rayon blend panels. This material, known as “aleman” is preferred for its drape and softness. Surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring strange zoomorphic motifs. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Maria Sacajan Perez at the La Fuente market in Antigua Guatemala.
