Chajul rebozo.

This contemporary Chajul rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-matched dark blue cotton base panels with narrow white warp stripes. The blue base color was achieved with indigo natural dye. It is decorated with supplementary weft brocade bands featuring bird, plant and chevron motifs. It is an fine example of an increasingly rare piece. It is in excellent condition. Collected from Ana Rivera of Chajul on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W81 x L124 cm plus fringes. (10-285) $ 75. OBO
