Aguacatan corte. (wrap skirt)

This post-2000 corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in one warp-striped cotton blend panel. The stripes are primarily black. The panels are decorated with supplementary brocade in geometric patterns. This modern example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Berta Hernandez in Santa Maria de Jesus.
