Amusgo huipil.
Amusgo huipil from Xochistlahuaca or Cozoyoapan, Guerrero, Mexico. This circa-2000 huipil is hand woven on a back strap loom in three naturally brown
cotton panels (locally known as “coyuchi”). The base thread is hand spun. The surface decoration is white supplementary brocade featuring bird and
geometric motifs. It is dress length. Amusgo huipils in coyuchi are uncommon. This unique huipil is in like new condition. It was acquired from an
important private collection in Antigua Guatemala. W 88 x L 114 cm. (19-24) $450. OBO
